CLUBS
WEDNESDAY's - 6:15 - 8:00 PM
THE AWANA PROGRAM
The Awana evening is divided into three segments:
» Handbook Time
» Game Time
» Council Time
Handbook Time - This is a time of interaction between clubbers and their adult leader. They recite memory work and answer questions about Bible reading assignments to check for comprehension. Leaders sign the clubbers handbook sections when they satisfactorily complete the work. Awards are earned. Handbook time is a time for adult leaders to encourage clubbers in their spiritual life and to show that they care. Parents are also encouraged to help their children at home.
Game Time - Clubbers participate as team members in physical activities which develop team cooperation, good sportsmanship, coordination skills, and self-confidence. Although games are competitive in nature, leaders are encouraged to give top priority to building and preserving each clubber's self esteem. Minimum memory work in Handbook Time is required for participation in game time.
Council Time - Clubbers come together for as time of singing, announcements, and recognition of awards earned. A Bible lesson is presented, encouraging clubbers in their walk with God.
